AC Shadows Unveils Surprising AoT Crossover for Holiday Season
In a unexpected partnership that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Uncovered
According to the formal release, "An unusual meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of forbidden practices and terrifying changes resonate through the shadows." The plot presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret group.
The questline concentrates on "strange experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses
The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Additional Material
Players who accomplish the quest will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to several artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
